This abstract oil painting was commissioned by a couple who had fallen in love with my painting which is titled “patience.”
They had just built a new house and needed a painting that would complete their family room. The goal for their painting was to that it be one that was restful and soothing.
And although the first version of patience was intended to be a piece about emotions. Patience 2 is actually a water landscape. I think of it as a sunrise over Lake Michigan in downtown Milwaukee, WI.
