This painting is a project I did for a really cool couple that I met in August, 2006 at the Bucktown Arts Fest. They bought two of my favorite paintings at that show, and then also had me create this painting of his grandparent's farm. Later on they also bought "corn" to add to the rural theme that's been going on in their art collecting these days. Ironically, these pieces all hang in their urban, downtown condo to remind them of the country.
I don't normally paint from other people's photos, but their's inspired me, and this is the result. We had prints made on canvas, and the lucky members of this family will each be getting a signed print for Christmas.
