I took my family on a hunt for the perfect maple leaf to paint. We finally found the one I wanted, but it was on the ground as opposed to still hanging in a tree.
Tim held it up for me to photograph, so the beautiful blue sky could be seen in the background. When the film came back, I actually loved seeing the huge hand in the composition so I decided to include it in the painting.
