“But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, KINDNESS, goodness, faithfulness, meekness and self-control.” — Galatians 5:22-23
This painting is about generosity, compassion and doing the right thing. The idea that my kindness to others is not based on whether they are deserving, but rather it is a way to model the undeserved benevelonce that Christ has shown to me.
The focal point of the composition is where the four magenta points meet. The bottom half of this area represents the loving hands of God, while the top half represents my hands strinving to reflect His goodness in the way I relate to other people.
This oil painting is #5 in “the fruit of the spirit” abstract series.
“But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, KINDNESS, goodness, faithfulness, meekness and self-control.” — Galatians 5:22-23
The kindness I show others is not simply about trying to be a “nice person.” It’s more about being intentional in treating people with the kind of love and care I’ve been shown by my creator.
