"SCENES FROM INDIANA ROADS"

This series of small barn and farm landscape oil paintings are meant to capture some of the beautiful scenery you'll find driving along country roads in Northern Indiana. I especially like the green roofs of this farm's barns. You can just feel the sun's light hitting them and then reflecting back.

The photo that inspired this painting was taken during our first road trip from South Carolina to Goshen, Indiana. I was so thankful I had my camera along, because the fields were just peppered with so many intriguing barns.

Having moved east of my in-laws, it was fun to approach their town from the completely opposite direction that we had been driving for almost 14 years. I am looking forward to making this same journey again, now that I know it is so visually inspiring.
