This series of small barn and farm landscape oil paintings are meant to capture some of the beautiful scenery found in Northern Indiana during the summer.
While visiting our family one summer, Tim took me out driving through the Indiana countryside, once again helping me to find the perfect views to paint.
The feeling I wanted to create in this particular landscape is that you were standing in the middle of the corn field.
The interesting thing to me about this particular field was that all the tassels were chopped off of the top of the corn. I'm sure there's a good reason for that.
Regardless of what it is, I liked the clean graphic look it created in the fields that warm summer day.
