This is the first painting I've done that is inspired by my new surroundings in Travelers Rest, South Carolina.
I saw these Hay Bales on the way back from taking my son Nathan to school one morning. It is in a residential neighborhood, but somebody just happens to have a yard big enough to grow hay. (Quite different from city living in Milwaukee!)
From the top of this hill you can see the mountains, as our town is in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. How cool is that?!
