"Buoys" is the third of four oil paintings in my series called "VACATION."

It was inspired by our trip to Cedar Key, FL in February, 2010. Even though it was only in the low 60s, the strong sunshine that day made everything feel more alive. I loved the strong lines and perspective created by these buoys in the sand.

My favorite things about this painting are the way the buoy in the foreground is out of focus, and the little blurry seagull in the water at the top of the painting.
