This is the fifth of six paintings in the series called "Scenes from Hilton Head Island."
The three marsh paintings from this series are a meant to capture the quiet serenity that we found in the Pickney Wildlife Preserve.
It's actually its own island, but it's right next to Hilton Head Island. I was struck by the contrast of these two places which are located so closely next to each other.
Hilton Head is full of people, restaurants, hotels, and clean beaches. While the Wild Life preserve has one gravel road winding though it.
Both places are beautiful, but in very different ways.
