I spent a beautiful Indian Summer day driving around the countryside of Elkhart County in Northern Indiana. We saw the most vibrant morning glories in bloom everywhere we went. It wasn't until we stopped to buy pumpkins at "Shirk's Farm Market" that I was able to photograph the right composition.
This painting is one of the most challenging ones I've done to date. I never realized how many leaves there are on a morning glory vine. I spent at least 6 weeks on this painting, but I think it captured the beauty of that perfect fall day!
