The inspiration for this painting was I photo I took in Waterford, WI. We were on our way back from Lake Geneva when the sun shining on the pond caught my attention.

My ever-accomodating husband pulled off the road so I could spend a few minutes trampling on what was actually private property. The photo was taken from the parking lot of a newer office complex, so I'm assuming the pond was created for drainage.

Not the most romantic story for a painting, unless you consider the view these lucky office workers have every day...not too shaby!
