We took our 3-month old baby to pick apples at an orchard in Mequon, WI on a picture perfect Indian Summer Saturday. Along with our family snapshots, I took several photos that became the inspiration for this series of paintings. The apples I photographed that day were still happily hanging on the tree, swaying in the gentle breeze, reflecting the oh-so-very-blue sky.
