This sassy-looking orange gerbera was waiting to greet me when I arrived home from a month in Florida during March, 2007. Although I wasn't too happy to be back in Wisconsin before summer had come, this spunky blossom helped to ease me back into accepting another month or two of (what is MY idea of) winter.
At least if we didn't have leaves on our trees, the sun was shining (as you can see from the shadows it cast on my kitchen table.) Did I ever mention that our table is a little built-in eating nook that my talented husbband built? It totally loooks like something from a magazine. And better yet, it overlooks one of Milwaukee's largest parks.
