This painting was inspired by a photo I took at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. I tagged along to an enginnering seminar that my husband Tim had there in January. While passing time in the student union waiting for his day of classes to end, I noticed the sun hitting these chairs outside. Even though it was the middle of winter, the chairs still just seemed to say “summer” to me. So that is why I captured them on film and then took the time to make them into a painting.
